From late 2003 to mid 2004, Shuueisha began publishing brand new large softcover Dragon Ball guidebooks as part of the resurgence of Dragon Ball's popularity in Japan. There were two covering the manga as supplements to the kanzenban reprints of the manga, one covering the Dragon Ball Z anime, and one covering the Dragon Ball anime.
