The preliminaries have ended, and now the match-ups are selected. Kuririn vs Bacterian. Yamcha vs Jackie Chun. Namu vs Lanfan. And SON Gokuu vs Giran. The smelly Bacterian manages to get the better of Kuririn with his disgusting techniques...until Gokuu reminds Kuririn that he has no nose, and Kuririn picks up the victory with a fart.

Bacterian is disgusting. Disgusting. Watching this episode makes me want to bathe thoroughly. That aside, the edits to this episode weren't too bad. This is the first of three times that I use the phrase, "green fart gas coming out of Kuririn's ass".

| Names/Terms |
Bacterian retains his name.
Namu is called "Nam". While that's not too off, his name is probably meant to be a pun on "Namuamidabutsu", so dropping the U takes away the meaning.
Lanfan is called "Ranfan." Her name is actually a portmanteau of "lingerie" and "foundation," so a spelling involving L would be the most logical.
Giran retains his name.
Jackie Chun retains his name, but it's incorrectly pronounced with a short U (as in "fun") instead of a correct long U (as in "toon").
Oh, and the Tenkaichi Budoukai is called the "World Martial Arts Tournament," which is just a slightly omissive translation.

(13 seconds) Just before Blooma tosses the shirt into the air, a clip of Kamesennin asking about pafupafu is cut.

(9 seconds) After Gokuu asks Announcer about what the "sensitive area" means, a clip of Announcer explaining that it means in the balls, and then Lanfan says she doesn't have any, is cut. Announcer originally falls over because of Lanfan's remark, though in the dub, he falls over because of Gokuu's question!

(4 seconds) After Bacterian blasts Kuririn with his nasty breath, footage of Bacterian digging around in his drawers is cut.

(15 seconds) After Kuririn catches Bacterian's ass and Bacterian charges up, a clip of Bacterian farting, Kuririn reacting, and then Bacterian rubbing his ass in Kuririn's face, is cut.

(1 second) Once Kuririn runs up to Bacterian and starts to pull his pants down, a shot of green fart gas coming out of Kuririn's ass is cut.
