The match-ups are chosen (and rigged by the telekinetic Jiaozi): Yamcha vs Tenshinhan; Jackie Chun vs Man Wolf; Kuririn vs Jiaozi; and SON Gokuu vs Phan Phut. The first quarterfinal fight between Yamcha and Tenshinhan begins, and it's a rather fierce match. Yamcha eventually announces his new technique: Shinrougafuufuuken.
