The second quarterfinal match begins, with Gokuu against the mystery girl. Gokuu doesn't fight back, and merely asks for her identity, but she'll only give it if Gokuu defeats her, which he does easily. The girl turns out to be Gyuumaou's daughter, Chichi, who had come to become Gokuu's bride. Gokuu had thought a bride was food all this time, but he'll still marry her anyway. Next, the fight between Piccolo and Kuririn begins.

(2 seconds) In the flashback to episode 007, a clip of Gokuu pat-pating Chichi with his foot is cut. And she ends up getting mad at him for a different reason. Not just a different reason from the Japanese version, but also a different reason from the dub of 007. (This time he teases her about not getting a boyfriend because of her weird outfit, whereas in 007, I don't remember...but I'm pretty sure it wasn't that, and she kind of just pushed him off the cloud for almost no reason.)

This is what I've been waiting for... In the flashback, the script for the cloud scene is all changed around from what it was in 007. But the car scene uses the same dialogue from 008, where Gokuu and Chichi just talked about "thinking about" each other. Originally, he promised to take her as his bride. In the dub of this episode, they SAY that he promised to marry her, though in 008, and the flashback to it, he clearly did not say anything like that. So, it just looks dumb, unless we're expected to believe it happened some time off camera. But at least they kept in the wife/food part.
